Born in London in1942. Walter Keeler trained at Harrow School of Art
progressing to Reader in Ceramics, at University of the West of England,
Bristol. Working in collaboration with the Victoria and Albert Museum,
inspiration for his later work came from handling eighteenth century
ceramics. His work is included in Public Collections at the Victoria
and Albert Museum, National Museum of Wales, Stoke-on-Trent City Museum
and museums in the USA, Sweden and Japan. His aim is to create a ‘surprising object doing
a commonplace job’. |
