I am a stonecarver. I carve lettering, images in relief
and in-the-round
sculptures, usually to commission. I was trained in the Eric Gill
tradition, apprenticed to Lida Lopes Cardozo, at David Kindersley's
Workshop, in Cambridge.
I try to do as much drawing from life as I can, partly because I find it utterly compelling in itself, and partly because it seems to help to keep my designing hands fresh for the commissioned work.
I am having an opening show at my new studio in Monmouth in June (10th-17th) - all welcome.
