Sketching the human form has long been a recurring theme in my work; it provides constant challenges and opportunities. This fairly flat pose relies on deep contrasting tones in the background to bring out the subtlety of tones in the female form. I have continued to paint since University days; to me it's like ' brushing your teeth', a necessary action for personal well being.
